Have you tried clearing your download history before doing the Monday contest?
(Tools>Downloads>Clear List)
I'm also using the latest Firefox. I always do the quote first, then the newspaper cryptogram. Then I had been closing Firefox and reopening it before doing the Monday contest. I just tried it by clearing the download list without closing/reopening the browser and it worked.
